Frequently asked questions about Sacred Heart Cardiology:
What is a faith based practice?
-At Sacred Heart, we feel called by God to try and get past the institutional guidelines of medicine and open a clinic centered around conversation, trust and personalized medicine. Therefore, we are open to spiritual discussions related to medicine, but we do not force this conversation on patients. We treat all patients the same regardless of their religious beliefs.
Why consider an independent medical practice?
-Independent practices are free from outside influence and agendas. We are not confined to the algorithms and box checking that drive much of today’s institutionalized medicine, which allows us to spend more time with our patients, discussing the risks and benefits of every recommendation, to provide individualized general and cardiovascular care.
Do I need a referral to see Dr. Weslow?
-It depends on your health plan. Many health plans do not require a referral from your PCP. Medicare patients, however, do require a referral. If there is a question, we recommend that you call your insurance provider.
Do you accept insurance?
-Yes. Please check with your insurance company to make sure we are within your network. If Sacred Heart is not covered by your insurance, you can still make an appointment and pay cash for services.
Why cash pay?
-Insurances costs are going up. Coverage is getting worse. The amount insurance companies are reimbursing your health care providers is going down. Sometimes services/tests can be cheaper if you pay cash out of pocket instead of running it through your insurance.
-For example: The cost of an echocardiogram at a hospital has cost some of our patients $1500-$2500 out of pocket…even after running it through insurance. At Sacred Heart Cardiology, you could pay $700 cash for this same echocardiogram without insurance.
Does Sacred Heart Cardiology have cash pricing?
-Yes. Patients with Medicare or Medicaid do not have this option, but others may want to pay directly for a visit or testing, rather than go through insurance.

Does Sacred Heart see pediatric patients?
-No. Dr. Weslow is board certified in adult cardiology and therefore patients must be 18 years or older to see him.
Frequently asked questions about CVI:
How do I schedule an appointment?
-Many of the symptoms of COVID vaccine injury (CVI) can be similar to other cardiac conditions, so all patients are seen by Sacred Heart Cardiology for the initial assessment where Dr. Weslow will determine the next best steps. This may lead to further cardiac diagnostic tests or referral to the CVI clinic specifically for vaccine injury treatment and plan.

Do you accept insurance:

What is the cost for CVI?
-Your initial/consult visit will be with Sacred Heart Cardiology. Once Dr. Weslow has ruled out other cardiac causes for your symptoms, you will be seen in the CVI clinic.
-Cash costs for CVI services:
-1 hour clinic appointment: $400 (discuss disease process and future diagnostics)
-30 minute follow up appointment: $200 (discuss diagnostic results and treatment options)
